JR Marine Superintendent

As a JR Marine Superintendent, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our vessels meet international standards, gaining hands-on experience while working alongside industry leaders. Additionally you will work closely with our marine superintendents and our marine team.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with ISM, MLC, and ISPS standards.
- Follow up legislative regulations, commercial standards, and TMSA best practices.
- Coordinate internal/external vessel audits.
- Provide guidance to ship Masters on nautical and legislative matters.
- Participate in the company’s emergency response team.
- Conduct vessel safety meetings and follow the HSE reporting system.
- Play a key role in the MOC process, supporting risk assessments and organizational changes.
- Contribute to training strategies for key onboard personnel.
- Assist in updating generic risk assessments and ensuring navigation, cargo, and mooring practices meet industry standards.
- Coordinate all marine operations with Marine and Vessel Managers.
Qualifications:
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Auditor certification in ISM, MLC, and ISPS codes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer-based tools.
- Experience in risk assessment, auditing, and incident investigation.
- At least 5 years of sailing experience at the management level is preferred.
