Introduction:
Our customer is owned by world-leading industrial and financial companies Hydro, and Altor. They aim to become a leading solutions provider to the fast-growing battery industry.
The advanced anode graphite is a key component in the production of lithium-ion batteries and contributes to increased range for electric vehicles, faster charging, long life, and improved safety.
The first industrial plant for the production of anode graphite is built in Norway, and the start of production is planned in 2024. The next phase large-scale plant is in the planning stage and aims to be in production in 2026.

Work place is Kristiansand
Contract is for 1 year / We cover housing costs for the assignment

Key responsibilities in the role
- Oversee daily operations of the laboratory, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and quality standards.
- Manage laboratory staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
- Coordinate with research teams to prioritize projects and allocate resources effectively.
- Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies and equipment, and oversee procurement as needed.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide guidance on experimental procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments to support interdisciplinary research initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Materials Science; master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in laboratory management or a related role.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor staff.
- Proficiency in laboratory techniques and instrumentation relevant to the specific field. Preferred capability in XRD, XRF, Raman
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in laboratory operations.
- Familiarity with relevant software and data analysis tools.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Materials Science; master’s degree preferred.
