The finance department in the segment Power Solutions is primarily located in Tranby. This department is responsible for delivering first class financial reporting and forecasting for the segment, which consists of Hydropower, Benestad, Subsea Power distribution, Subsea Strategic assets and Tranby manufacturing. The team is working closely with the business to deliver valuable financial insight to make the best possible business decisions on a day-to-day basis. We are a social and collaborative team, working in a supportive environment as we tackle diverse and exciting challenges every day.
We are now seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Project Controller for Hydropower.
At Aker Solutions Hydropower, we specialize in developing, manufacturing, and delivering hydropower turbines, regulation/control systems, and related equipment to customers and projects worldwide. We supply equipment for new installations and upgrade existing hydropower plants both in the Nordic region and internationally.

What will you be doing?
You will help ensure strong financial performance in assigned projects by:
- Monitoring and analyzing financial trends, assessing risks and impacts of changes
- Controlling, forecasting, and reporting costs and revenues for assigned work packages
- Securing a healthy cash flow
- Managing foreign currency hedging
- Ensuring accurate project accounts and reporting in accordance with internal procedures and contract requirements
- Providing commercial advice to the project manager
- Enhancing commercial awareness within assigned projects
- Continuously contributing to the improvement of existing processes
- Participating in tender evaluations and supporting other ad-hoc tasks
We think you should have:
We are looking for an experienced Project Controller with strong finance, project and cost control experience who can strengthen our team.
- A Bachelor’s degree in finance and at least 2 years of relevant experience
- Strong knowledge of project controlling and estimation
- Proficiency in Excel; experience with SAP is a plus
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English, both written and spoken. Norwegian language skills are an advantage
- A structured and analytical approach
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
