The Role
Scantech AS has an exciting opportunity for a Project Cost Controller to join the team and take responsibility for the accurate and timely reporting of the financial performance for long term projects and services. You will work closely with Project Managers in monitoring, understanding and communicating this information to the wider business in an effective way as well as will support with process improvements, working on simplifying and increasing the quality of financial deliveries.
Your responsibilities will vary, hence we are looking for someone who has a flexible approach, superb organisational and time management skills, can build strong relationships, is detail oriented and thrives in a fast paced environment.
- Preparation of offers and calculations for larger projects.
- Financial forecasts preparation and reporting of financial progress and results on the larger projects.
- Monitoring and following-up of cost and milestone invoicing.
- Reporting of variances against budgets.
- Creation and monitoring of bank guarantees.
- Ongoing follow-up of rental projects, including.
- Maintenance and following-up of revenue tracking for the machine park, including tracking of utilisation.
- Contributing in the budget and forecasting of the different business units.
- Collection of revenue and direct cost input.
- Uploading data to the ERP systems.
- Monitoring hours booked in Proplan Time.
- Assist in creating, monitoring and following-up of investment applications, and associated reporting.
- Ad hoc reports and analysis.
- Other relevant duties/tasks as assigned by Finance Director and that may occur within the finance department.
- Bachelor or Masters degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or qualified by experience.
- Proven experience in a similar role and industry.
- Highly proficient user of Microsoft Office packages, excellent Excel skills.
- Knowledge and experience in using ERP systems (IFS experience will be beneficial).
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Attention-to-detail, analytical and numerical skills.
- A self-starter capable of managing multiple priorities.
- Proactive and enthusiastic.
- Strong technical accounting background will be beneficial.
