Siemens Energy is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Product Manager with a deep technical understanding of gas turbine core design and development. This pivotal role will be based in our Kongsberg, Norway office and will focus on our 2MW SGT-50 gas turbine Package.

One of the key responsibilities of this position will be to take the full product ownership fostering innovation and assuring successful development of the SGT-50 Gas Turbine Package meeting the overall objective of positioning it as a market leading, state of the art power generation solution, outperforming its main competitors through overall superior customer value proposition.

Other responsibilities:
- Product Development:
- Overall responsible from idea creation to implementation of the SGT-50 Product Roadmap aligned with overall business goals both short term and long term.
- Oversee the transformation of the SGT-50, becoming the market leading power generation solution with targets market segments. Conduct comprehensive business cases to prioritize product features and development efforts.
- Technical Expertise:
- Utilize extensive knowledge of gas turbine core design and development to guide the product team. Stay updated with the latest advancements in gas turbine technology within relevant market segments.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including governmental agencies and customers, to gather support and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Conduct customer, supplier, and government meetings to understand requirements, negotiate terms, and ensure compliance with regulations. Represent Siemens Energy at technical seminars, conferences, and government forums, presenting product developments and innovations.
- Team Leadership:
- Foster a collaborative team environment, encouraging cross-functional cooperation and teamwork.
- Prioritize tasks effectively to balance short-term and long-term business goals.
- Guide and mentor team members, promoting professional growth and development.
What can you bring
- Education:
- Advanced Degree (Master's or Ph D) within gas turbine engineering, mechanical, engineering, aerospace engineering or within other relevant fields are highly preferred to meet the requirements related to deeper technical expertise.
- Experience:
- Extensive experience in gas turbine core design and development, with a proven track record of successful projects.
- Commercial experience in the energy sector, particularly in product management or a similar role.
