Grid Technologies is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join our Research and Development (R&D) team, Future Grid Labs, focused on developing products and solutions for the electrical grid market. As a key member of the team, you will play a pivotal role in driving our vision of the grid of the future based on connectivity, data, and intelligence.
You will have the opportunity to implement and develop cutting-edge solutions and products, contributing to the company's mission. We are looking for an experienced professionals with deep knowledge of software development, industrial protocols, network design, software and hardware architectures and domain knowledge.

You will have the opportunity to implement and develop cutting-edge solutions and products, contributing to the company's mission. We are looking for an experienced professionals with deep knowledge of software development, industrial protocols, network design, software and hardware architectures and domain knowledge.
Responsibilities and how you will make an impact:
- Collaborate with R&D team members to design and develop software solutions for grid applications, playing a central role in driving Grid Technologies’ vision of the grid of the future based on connectivity, data, and intelligence.
- Implement and optimize software for real-time data processing and analytics at the edge, contributing to the Future Grid Labs R&D team's mission to implement and develop solutions and products that drive our company's future.
- Work with hardware and software engineers to integrate software on edge devices and sensors, helping to define the technology and architecture guidelines and driving their implementation.
- Conduct performance analysis and optimization to ensure efficient use of resources at the edge, making a tangible impact on the efficiency and effectiveness of our edge solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to maintain high-quality software, ensuring the reliability and robustness of our edge computing applications.
What You Bring
- 7+ years relevant professional experience within SW development.
- Completed your degree in software development, electrical engineering, or comparable education.
- Deep knowledge and experience of industrial protocols and network design, such as IEC61850, OPC UA, etc. Also networking, firewalls, and general cyber security is a plus.
- Deep knowledge and understanding of Operational Technology hardware architectures, hypervisors, real-time systems.
Nice to have
- Experience with embedded development and electronics development is a plus.
- Experience with microservice architectures or other software patterns is a plus.
- Experience with data science, AI, and machine learning is a plus.
- Understanding the electrical domain is a plus.
