Software Developer: Backend

You will be joining our team as a software developer and will play a key role in developing our ocean freight intelligence products. Xeneta is a dynamic company and appreciates diversity, accountability, team work, initiatives, innovation and looking for new people.
- Working on our Ocean applications together with the rest of the team.
- Implementing business and data processing logic in Python while fetching the data from our Snowflake warehouse and Postgre SQL.
- Following software development best practices applying cloud-native approach and keeping in mind security aspects.
- Collaborating actively with backend developers, frontend developers who rely on React JS, Dev Ops engineers working in AWS, QA and data scientists using dbt/Snowflake.
- Cooperating with your colleagues across Xeneta to gain knowledge and understating of customers' needs and help to translate them into requirements and split into tasks.
- Embracing Agile principles for planning and development processes.
- You have 2-4 years of experience as Backend (or fullstack) Software developer using Python stack
- You have good understanding of software development foundations (SOLID principles, patterns, big O notation, data structures, etc)
- You have good understanding and experience in SQL including optimization and performance aspects, injections, clustering
- You care about quality and you know what it means to ship high-quality code.
- You are a team player, you enjoy learning and improving the team around you and yourself and can work independently if needed.
- Fluent in English: oral and written.
- You're located (or willing to relocate) near Oslo (Norway) - we will help you with relocation.
Nice to have
- Relevant higher education.
- Experience using AWS services for building data processing and/or web applications
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code like Terraform or Cloud Formation.
- Experience with Snowflake, Docker.
