Position Overview

Based at Bano Puratos in Oman, we are currently seeking a:

Accountant
(Muscat)

Guarantee the accuracy of the accounting information, provide accurate information and ensure required reporting being provided on time.

Key Accountabilities

Accounting transactions:

• Manage the accounting registers and record daily entries.
• Ensure the accuracy of the provisions and accruals on a monthly basis
• Issue invoices to customers when required.
• Responsible of the asset management exercise and make sure it is being registered on time and being conducted on regular basis.
• Maintain an orderly accounting filing system

Review and Reconciliation:

• Ensure proper reconciliation of all the accounts on a monthly basis
• Responsible to send the balance confirmation to all clients.
• Responsible to conduct inventory spot check and stock count on a regular basis.
• Complete the reconciliation related to clients, suppliers and cash in banks.

Daily Operations:

• Arrange payments schedule for suppliers when required and make sure they all have statement of account.
• Pay suppliers’ invoices in a timely manner when required by direct supervisor and ensure that having valid and legal supporting documents.
• Ensure that receivables are collected promptly.
• Handle petty cash when required and ensure that is properly managed.
• Provide clerical and administrative support to management as requested
• Follow accounting policies and procedures

Profile

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or relevant field
• Experience of 2- 4 years’ experience
• Knowledgeable in international accounting rules
• Analytical capabilities
• Knowledge in application of bookkeeping, accounts payable, general ledger, reconciliations and related accounting functions,
• Detail oriented, accurate, eager to learn, and improve herself/himself
