S. Zia-Ul-Haq & Sons is looking for a Assistant Manager - Grocery Procurement!
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant Manager - Grocery Procurement to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, specifically within the grocery sector, and will be responsible for sourcing and managing the supply of grocery items to meet the company's needs. The role requires excellent negotiation skills, market knowledge, and the ability to maintain strong relationships with vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop relationships with reliable suppliers for grocery items.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for grocery items to ensure consistent supply.
- Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and price fluctuations.
- Analyze cost structures and seek opportunities for cost reduction.
- Ensure budget compliance and monitor expenditure against procurement activities.
- Ensure that all procured grocery items meet the company's quality standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in grocery procurement or a similar role, preferably at the assistant manager level.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
