The Aga Khan University Hospital, Karachi is proud to have qualified and dedicated team of surgeons, medical, nursing and allied health professionals within the Outpatient Services which uses state-of-the-art equipment helps to identify, diagnose and treat Eye and ENT related problems. On the Ophthalmic side, it offers a variety of surgical treatment procedures like cataract surgery, corneal transplant surgery, glaucoma drainage surgery, mid face reconstruction and cosmetic surgery, squint surgery, retinal detachment surgery while procedures like cochlear implants, reconstructive surgery post-trauma or cancer head and neck surgery are unique to ENT. Based on these specialized procedures, patients are accommodated in the outpatient as well as the inpatient areas. Responsibilities

You will be responsible to:

• assist in handling patients with speech and language dysfunction
• assist in evaluation and formulation of speech therapy treatment plans
• monitor patient recovery through speech therapy provided
• assess the patients with hearing loss and perform audiogram, tympanogram or otoacoustic emission test
• consult and collaborate with consultants and other medical professionals in providing high quality speech therapy treatments
• educate patients and their families about treatment interventions and home exercises
• maintain and update patients’ records and documentation
• raise wider health care staff awareness of patients’ issues based on services guidelines.
