FUNCTION: Performance Management

ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

BI Developer will be a key role in enabling data driven story telling in BAT. Role will be responsible to develop visualization using Power BI revolving Descriptive and Diagnostic Dashboards.

Role is expected to develop, optimize BI infrastructure, data integrity/relationships, as well as reporting and business process architectures, enabling fit for purpose analytics and more effective insights delivery.

BI Developer is expected to be SME on ETL tools and assist Business Analyst in building End to End integrated, scalable solution to Functional Leaders Globally.

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

Lead End-to-End Dashboard Development SDLC (Data to Dashboard), utilizing strong expertise in Power Query, M Language, DAX, and Power BI functions.
Develop dashboards with multiple data sources and effectively communicate requirements to Data Analyst or relevant teams.
Conduct diagnostics on existing Excel reports, propose solutions, oversee implementation, and monitor validation processes to ensure data integrity and optimal performance.
Execute all phases of the ETL process to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and global templates.
Support Business Analyst in conducting feasibility studies, developing proof of concepts, and providing recommendations and consultations to stakeholders.
Collaborate with Data Analyst and Platform Team to facilitate rapid BI developments.
Maintain internal processes and quality standards documentation to ensure compliance with process controls and audits aligned with BAT standards.
Contribute to the development of SDLC, Project Governance Files, and Templates.
Establish data governance checkpoints and contribute to the creation of the Operating Model.
Efficiently manage multiple stringent project timelines in a fast-paced business environment.
Continuously enhance current tools and methodologies to improve information analysis.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Marketing, Finance, Analytics, or related field.
Minimum of 2-3 years of previous experience in a similar role.
Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
Strong expertise in Power Query, M Language, DAX, and Power BI functions.
Proficiency in automating reports and conducting data analytics.
Strong problem-solving skills, continuous improvement mindset, and resourcefulness.
Experience using direct query with Database Infrastructure such as Snowflake, Azure Blob.
Proficient in integration with Power Apps and Power Automate.
Hands-on development experience with Microsoft Products (Excel, Power BI, Share Point, Power Automate, Power Apps, Excel Macro, Power Query).
Comfortable with numbers and possesses good analytical sense.
Experience in developing products using agile methodologies and ways of working.
Good understanding of data structure, transformation, and architecture.
Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

Forum Contributor would be an added advantage
Exposure to Alteryx, Dataiku, Micro Strategy would be a plus
