Chemist – Manager

- Provide guidance and support to the HEI Quality Control Team on coal analysis procedures and best practices.
- Coordinate effectively with SGS Pakistan, SECMC, and other external entities regarding coal analysis issues.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Laboratory, ensuring compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Quality Assurance (QA), and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) standards.
- Track and follow up with HEI on the inventory of consumables, equipment maintenance, and calibrations according to established standards.
- Conduct daily reviews of water and fuel analysis data, identifying potential problems and recommending solutions.
- Regularly update Management on laboratory performance and the quality of analytical outputs.
- Master's Degree in Chemistry (preferably Analytical Chemistry) or Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a Power Plant environment.
- At least 2-3 years of experience specifically in coal analysis is mandatory.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and presentation skills.
- Well-versed in International Analytical Standards, such as ASTM and ISO.
- A strong work ethic, with a commitment to accuracy and efficiency.
