Lead Sensitive Investigations

Sensitive Investigation – team supervision
- To supervise senior investigators who are managing cases including identification, review/inquiry and escalation/closure of such investigations.
- To support department Head in identifying the opportunities for continuous improvement of functional systems, processes and practices considering the best practices, improvement of business processes and productivity improvement relevant to Department activities.
- Ensure all STRs are submitted as per prevailing regulations and FMU guidelines/directive.
- To ensure Reporting of overdue cases with aging to management. Ensures provision of requisite data with respect to various KRIs / CL reporting and generating desired MIS for Management and Board level committees relevant to department.
Advisory
- To provide / assist Business/ branches on the possible trigger handling, KYC related queries highlighted during BAU and FCC related matters. Advising business on possible ML or associated risk and recommending exits where the case is considered out of bank’s risk appetite
STR Reporting & Query Resolution
- To ensure timely preparations of STRs for further review by respective Supervisor, Unit Head and Department Head before submission to FMU.
- Timely management of MIS and record keeping. Engagement with different stakeholders within the network to ensure timely actions
Training & Development
- Actively participate in bank-wide awareness trainings for FCC to strengthen the Compliance culture within the Bank. To support Learning & Development team / Compliance training coordinator in planning FCC trainings
Remediation of Audit & Inspection Findings
Ensure providing timely input on the SBP exams (if any) and Internal and External Audit teams to validate the observations (if any) and assist Supervisor/Unit Head to develop and execute remedial action plan as needed.

Continuous Improvement
To implement continuous improvement strategies in existing FCC processes as directed by the Department Head and FCC Head.

Miscellaneous/ Liaison with Stakeholders
- On-site and off-site visit to the regulator and LEAs for responding to their queries and information required relevant to the area.
- Performing any task / jobs as assigned by Supervisor, Unit Head, Department Head and Head of FCC on timely basis. Further, adhoc duties required from time to time to meet departmental responsibilities, objectives and goals.
Minimum qualifications:
Minimum experience:
- Bachelors’ Degree (preferably Masters) from an HEC accredited institution. Candidates with certifications such as CAMS or any other accreditations from IBP will be preferred.
- Knowledge of prevalent local and geopolitical trends impacting the FCC environment in Pakistan and other countries with HBL's operations Knowledge of leading complex or major investigations in the local/international market
Minimum experience:
- 8 years of relevant experience in FCC / Compliance is preferable
