Team Leader Name Screening

Screening Monitoring & Management
- Review, oversight and monitoring of Side Safe watch hits resolved by a team of Screening Officers.
- Close monitoring of the hits resolution process including quality assurance is required to prevent Sanction breaches and prevent regulatory violations.
- Management of work load on weekends and holidays.
- To ensure prior screening and opinion on highlighted business transactions pertaining to/from Sanctioned / High risk Countries (if any) in order to prevent sanctions breaches and regulatory violations.
- Prepare periodical MIS and submission to Unit Head for review of summary of all hits for domestic to ensure quality and run-rate of screening closures.
- To ensure timely response to other bank queries/ OFAC (Office of Foreign Assets & Control)/ BSA (Banks Secrecy Act, USA) queries pertaining to SWIFT/ Home remittances of all International locations to ensure remitter / beneficiary are not on any sanctioned list.
- To ensure working on well-defined procedure to be adopted for the improvement in the existing process of “Business as usual” which will help the bank to meet the regulatory expectations and to settle and resolve the FCC alerts with quality after meeting all necessary protocols/ processes.
- To ensure timely reporting of STRs to concerned team for onward submission to FMU (Financial Monitoring Unit). Additionally to coordinate and facilitate STR Team for timely resolution of FMU queries and those received from FIA (Federal Investigations Agency) and other LEAs (Law Enforcement Agencies)
- Actively participate in bank-wide awareness trainings for AML/CFT/CPF to strengthen the Compliance culture within the Bank either as a trainer or attendee. Take necessary initiative to apprise FCC staff about changing industry trends and best practices
- Training and mentoring of Officers / Analysts in Names screening.
- Responsible for maintaining and updating Side Safe watch hits monitoring & management SOP / process flows.
- Regarding SBP Annexures of Thematic Inspections and Internal and External Audit reports, develop remedial action plans as needed in conjunction Screening Officers.
- Actively participates in additional projects/ initiatives from time-to-time as directed by the Sanction Head, FCC including assisting International Compliance Officers regarding their hits screening, system issues, and various regulatory aspects.
- To ensure develop and implement continuous improvement strategies in existing FCC processes in conjunction with Line Management
- Lead, direct and motivate Screening Analysts / Officers to ensure clarity of purpose and work towards common goals with a focus towards talent retention.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelors’/ Master’s Degree from an HEC accredited institution. Good to have certifications such as ACAMS,ICA, CFCS.
- Knowledge of prevalent local and geopolitical trends impacting the AML environment in Pakistan and other countries where HBL is operating.
- Strong Presentation and Communication skills.
- 5 – 7 years of relevant experience in FCC / Compliance
