Job Description
Our accounting firm is seeking a Payroll Processor Associate with an accounting background to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing payroll, maintaining payroll records, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. The role requires strong accounting knowledge and a proactive attitude toward learning the intricacies of payroll processing, tax withholding, and reporting.
Applicants must have a solid accounting and bookkeeping foundation and be proficient in Quick Books Online. Fluency in English is essential, as you will be required to communicate with American clients over the phone and ensure payroll accuracy. Training will be provided during the first three months (probationary period). After probation, you may be promoted to the Payroll Specialist position if you have mastered tax regulations, proper withholding, and compliance and have performed to the company's satisfaction.
Job Requirements

• Strong accounting background and knowledge of bookkeeping principles
• Familiarity with Quick Books Online accounting software
• Prior experience in payroll processing or tax compliance is preferred
• A strong willingness to learn payroll procedures, tax withholding, and compliance
• Ability to manage payroll data, including employee records, overtime, deductions, and tax filings
• Fluent in English (spoken and written) to interact effectively with US-based clients
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Customer service experience is a plus

Notes

• This full-time, virtual position requires an 8-hour workday, five days a week, following U.S. Eastern Time (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.), which corresponds to 6 p.m. to 2 a.m., Pakistan time.
• Perks include reimbursement of professional certification fees, annual subscriptions, membership fees, and examination costs up to a predetermined limit for eligible employees.
