Public Health and Facilities Compliance Lead (COE Initiative)

In this critical role, you will leverage your expertise in public health and facilities compliance to create a safer and healthier environment for children. You will play a pivotal role in leading the implementation of the National Health Service (NHS) Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness and ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining a safe and hygienic environment, optimizing operations, and maintaining the physical infrastructure to achieve world-class standards. Your contributions will directly impact the health and well-being of countless children and contribute to the hospital's reputation as a leading pediatric healthcare provider.
Responsibilities:
- Public Health Focus:
- Develop and implement public health interventions to prevent the spread of infections within the hospital environment.
- Analyze hospital data to identify trends and risk factors for healthcare-associated infections (HAIs)
- Collaborate with infection control teams to develop and implement evidence-based infection prevention and control (IPC) protocols aligned with NHS Standards.
- Conduct training and education programs for hospital staff on proper hand hygiene, cleaning and disinfection techniques, and safe waste management practices.
- Partner with community health organizations to promote public health initiatives that benefit children.
- Facilities Compliance and NHS Standards Implementation:
- Lead the implementation of the National Health Service (NHS) Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness (2021) https://bit.ly/NHS-Standards-of-Healthcare-Cleanliness at the hospital.
- Conduct a thorough assessment of the hospital's current cleaning practices and identify gaps or areas for improvement in alignment with NHS Standards.
- Ensure strict adherence to national and international healthcare regulations, standards, and codes, specifically focusing on infection control, environmental safety, waste management, workplace safety, and infrastructure maintenance.
- Develop and implement training programs for hospital staff to ensure they are equipped with the knowledge and skills to meet NHS Standards.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess compliance with NHS Standards and all relevant regulations. Implement corrective actions as needed.
- COE Development and Process Optimization:
- Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to establish the hospital as a COE for hospital cleaning. This includes identifying best practices, developing training programs, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Apply analytical skills to identify opportunities for process optimization, efficiency improvement, and cost reduction. Implement innovative approaches to enhance cleanliness, maintenance, infrastructure maintenance, and infection control protocols.
- Quality Improvement:
- Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance the hospital's cleaning practices and overall cleanliness performance.
- Develop and implement performance indicators and metrics to track progress towards meeting NHS Standards and identify areas for improvement.
- Training and Education:
- Develop and deliver training programs for hospital staff, covering topics such as cleaning protocols, disinfection techniques, PPE usage, waste management, infrastructure maintenance, and regulatory compliance. Foster a culture of compliance and continuous learning.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate compliance records and prepare detailed reports to communicate the status of compliance efforts effectively. Highlight achievements, areas of improvement, and recommendations to drive continuous enhancement. Capture the work and impact through professional quality photography and videography to document the condition of the facility and the progress of the COE initiative.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Cultivate positive relationships with hospital management, doctors, nurses, Islamic Aid management, staff, contractors, and potential and existing donors. Effectively communicate the impact of our work on achieving COE status and NHS Standards adherence.
- Master's degree in Public Health (or a closely related field) and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or a related field) preferred, or a combination of experience and education that demonstrates the required skills and knowledge.

- A commitment to continuous learning and professional development
- Experience with quality improvement methodologies (preferred)
- Knowledge of NHS Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness (preferred)
Pay: Rs55,000.00 - Rs75,000.00 per month
