The Purchaser will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing inventory to ensure the availability of materials and supplies needed for our operations. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong negotiation skills and a solid understanding of procurement strategies. The ideal candidate will be able to effectively collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to achieve cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From Rs75,000.00 per month
Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement and Sourcing:
- Source and procure materials, goods, and services required for production and operations.
- Evaluate supplier options based on price, quality, delivery speed, and reliability.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
- Continuously monitor market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Inventory Management:
- Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet production and operational needs while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
- Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure timely receipt and distribution of purchased materials.
- Implement inventory control measures and systems to track stock levels and usage patterns.
- Supplier Relationship Management:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Resolve any issues or disputes that arise with suppliers regarding quality, delivery, or pricing.
- Collaborate with suppliers to identify opportunities for supplier consolidation and strategic partnerships.
- Documentation and Compliance:
- Prepare and maintain procurement records, reports, and documentation in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements related to procurement activities.
- The has to visit the market physically for sourcing and purchase.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience as a Purchaser, Procurement Officer, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, sourcing strategies, and inventory management principles.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
