Controller
190 000 - 225 000 plus bonus
FULLY REMOTE
Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller with strong expertise in revenue recognition to join their growing finance team. This Controller will oversee the accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls of the company, with a particular focus on managing and ensuring compliance with revenue recognition standards (ASC 606 or IFRS 15). The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in financial management, be well-versed in GAAP, and demonstrate a high level of integrity and accountability.

Controller’s Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including month end close process, accounts payable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
• Ensure accurate and timely recognition of revenue in accordance with ASC 606 or IFRS 15, including the preparation and review of revenue schedules and reconciliations.
• Develop and maintain revenue recognition policies and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Monitor and analyze financial results, ensuring consistency with budget and forecast.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including detailed variance analysis.
• Coordinate the annual audit process, serving as the primary point of contact for external auditors.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including tax and reporting requirements.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to the accounting team, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and excellence.

Controller’s Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting (CPA preferred).
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in a Controller
• Experience working in the healthcare industry
• Expertise in revenue recognition accounting (ASC 606/IFRS 15) and strong understanding of GAAP.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to manage and develop teams.
