Corporate Controller

We are seeking an experienced Corporate Controller to join our growing company. This remote role, based in Florida, is integral to overseeing our financial activities and ensuring the integrity of our accounting and reporting processes. The Corporate Controller will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial operations, implementing effective financial policies, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

Job Responsibilities:

Financial Policy Development: Design, implement, and maintain effective financial policies and procedures to ensure accuracy, transparency, and accountability in all financial activities.
Accounting Oversight: Supervise and manage the accounting department to ensure the accurate and timely preparation of financial reports, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, including GAAP and other applicable local, state, and federal laws.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Prepare the annual budget and financial forecasts and track performance against these benchmarks throughout the fiscal year.
Financial Reporting: Prepare and review all financial documents, including month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to senior management.
Tax Preparation: Oversee and assist with preparing all tax filings and returns, ensuring full compliance and proper documentation.
Risk Management and Audits: Conduct financial risk assessments and internal audits to monitor and mitigate financial risks.
Corporate Decision Support: Provide strategic financial insights and support corporate financial decision-making, including cash flow management, capital expenditures, and resource allocation.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA certification preferred).
5+ years of experience in corporate accounting or a similar role, preferably in a leadership position.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP), financial regulations, and tax laws.
Proficient in financial reporting software and ERP systems.
Exceptional organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment, managing priorities and meeting deadlines effectively.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $90,000.00 per year
