Housekeeping Admin Asst. / Dispatch

Boardwalk Beach Hotel is seeking to hire a Housekeeping Admin/Dispatcher to work on the beautiful Panama City Beach, FL. Basic computer skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word required. One year related hotel housekeeping is preferred. Must have valid drivers license and reliable transportation. JOB DESCRIPTION
The housekeeping admin is responsible for the overall productivity of all housekeeping areas and supporting the Executive housekeeper as needed.
  • Will ensure that housekeepers are properly assigned as required by the Executive Housekeeper.
  • Will maintain a proper work flow to ensure that all housekeepers achieve maximum efficiency based upon work load.
  • Assign housekeepers boards based upon the direction of the Executive housekeeper.
  • Will watch the needs of the property to make sure the proper rooms are given priority based upon arrivals and the needs of the front desk.
  • Will work the housekeeping dispatch area, answering phones, and radios.
  • Will update the PMS system with housekeepers and inspector completed task as needed.
  • Will enter work orders as they are called.
  • Provide accurate evaluation on housekeeper’s productivity performance.
  • Ensure that lost and found is logged and brought to the office to be properly secured.
  • Help create check list and excel spread sheets to achieve maximum performance standards.
  • Prepare weekly payroll for approval by the Executive Housekeeper.
  • Communicate to the Executive Housekeeper on his or her days off to ensure all areas are covered properly.
  • Will communicate with employees and contractor will call outs and calling in of staff as needed.
  • Support the Housekeeping Executive with all administration needs.
  • Perform Housekeeper duties as required during off-season and/or when business necessitates additional assistance in cleaning units.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and skills
  • Detail oriented with organizational skills
  • Ability to read and comprehend routine instructions, short correspondence and memos
  • Ability to give high priority to customer service
  • Must maintain a professional appearance and a Can-Do, positive attitude towards all guests and staff
  • Must be people oriented and able to work independently or with others as needed
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
Technical Skills
  • Small cleaning equipment experience
  • Experience with general cleaning concepts
  • Creation of basic spread sheets in excel
  • Basic computer skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 per hour
