Functions
The Engineer II will work closely with team members to:

• Review documents, piping and HVAC diagrams, mechanical systems, equipment design and functions and performance analyses
• Coordinate with project stakeholders to ensure quality deliverables are submitted in accordance with the Contract requirements.
• Production of detailed plans of action and deficiency reports to support the project objectives and schedules.
• Assist with construction planning support activities.
• Assist in the integration of the design in Production and work closely with shipyard personnel.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Reporting Relationship: This position will report to Mechanical Engineering Department Manager
Job Requirements
Qualifications
Education/Experience: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Marine Engineering.
Required
The qualified candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience:

• Have 6-15 years of experience in either commercial marine or government shipbuilding programs.
• Have good analytical skills.
• Be capable of working with minimum supervision to accomplish assigned tasks with a high degree of accuracy.
• Ability to interpret contract requirements and specifications.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and Auto CAD.
• Capable of learning department-specific software programs to assist in various analyses.

Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident Card required.
Desired
The following knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience are preferred but not required:

• Experience with CDRL Development
• Experience with ABS NVR highly desired
