Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and administrative support in a medical setting.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Schedule appointments and maintain patient records
- Verify insurance information and collect co-payments
- Assist patients with their various needs
- Manage incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate personnel
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
- Handle medical records in compliance with confidentiality regulations
- Other responsibilities as requested
Requirements
- Experience in medical reception or similar role preferred
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems like Epic
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Experience as a medical assistant preferred, but not necessary
- Familiarity with medical collections and documentation review is advantageous
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
