Social Media Coordinator: Facebook Groups Moderator & Customer Service Specialist


We're seeking a talented and passionate Social Media Coordinator to join our team as the “face” of our company online, playing a pivotal role in managing our Facebook groups, fostering engagement, and providing top-notch customer service. As a Social Media Coordinator with a specialization in Facebook groups moderation and customer service interactions, you will be responsible for online reputation management, maintaining a positive online community environment, ensuring user satisfaction, and driving meaningful engagement with our brand. You will play a crucial role in nurturing our online community.
Key Responsibilities:
    Facebook Groups Moderation:
    • Monitor and moderate multiple Facebook groups.
    • Enforce community guidelines and ensure that discussions remain respectful and on-topic.
    • Identify and address inappropriate content, spam, and violations of group rules.
    • Act as the main point of contact for group members and respond promptly to inquiries and concerns.

    Customer Service Interactions:
    • Provide exceptional customer service by managing and monitoring our Facebook business pages and Facebook groups and other social media channels by responding to comments and messages -answering questions, resolving issues, and addressing customer feedback.
    • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a consistent and seamless customer experience.
    • Escalate complex issues to the appropriate teams for resolution when necessary.

    Hands-On Engagement:
    • Actively engage with group members by starting and participating in discussions.
    • Share relevant content, updates, and promotions to foster engagement.
    • Monitor trends and gather insights from user interactions to inform marketing strategies.
    • Search for opportunities to promote the company within the groups.
Content Creation:
  • Develop and implement social media strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement.
  • Create and curate engaging content for our Social Media channels and Facebook groups, including posts, images, and videos.
  • Develop a content calendar to ensure a consistent posting schedule that aligns with company goals.
Analytics and Reporting:
  • Track key performance metrics, such as engagement, growth, and member feedback.
  • Provide regular reports and insights on campaign success to management to inform decision-making.
  • Research industry trends and competitive analysis.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest social media best practices.
Support the Marketing Department:
  • Assist with various other tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Marketing, communications, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in social media management, especially within Facebook groups moderation.
  • Deep understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Outstanding customer service and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong conflict resolution skills and comfortable handling challenging online discussions.
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
  • Proficiency in social media management tools and analytics platforms.
  • Creativity and a passion for creating engaging and authentic online communities.
  • Some graphic design experience using Canva is a plus.
