Job description
Now Hiring: Staff Accountant for high occupancy, high revenue hospitality company with multiple locations and long-term career opportunities, and good growth potential. We are looking for an experienced leader with a passion for hospitality and customer service, a great coach that can mentor and develop a team to achieve excellent results, and who is willing to take our service and team to the next level.
The Staff Accountant works closely with the Chief Financial Officer to complete accounting-related duties, maintain financial records, account sub-ledgers, and performing reconciliations to ensure accuracy and timeliness in accordance with established department standards.
Your day to day:
  • Assist with financial statement preparation, monthly balance sheet reconciliations, as well as daily revenue and cash reconciliations.
  • Compilation and review of daily revenue reports, work with golf club management to resolve any discrepancies.
  • Prepare and process vendor payments weekly.
  • General ledger maintenance and reconciliations completed in an accurately and timely manner.
  • Prepare and submit state, county, and local tax filings by the established deadline.
  • Support and assist with weekly payroll processing, including necessary payroll bank transfers.
  • Reconcile and submit payment for staff credit card accounts, ensuring all necessary documentation is received.
  • Maintain depreciation schedule and retain all relevant supporting documentation monthly.
  • Accumulate, process, and distribute weekly all labor related expenses to the appropriate department heads.
  • Process and file annual vendor 1099’s.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Promote and demonstrate superior customer service standards are followed and address any identified issues as they arise appropriately. Actively assist in ensuring our golf club meets company standards and provide the highest possible experience for our guest.
What we need from you:
· Three years of accounting, or related field experience required.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
Other Necessary Skills:
· Knowledge of general financial accounting.
· Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
· Excellent verbal and written communication stills.
· Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
· Strong interpersonal, problem solving and time management skills.
Ability to carry out tasks independently and accurately
