Job Summary
The Welder position involves fabricating and assembling metal structures and equipment through the use of welders, cutters, shapers, and measuring tools.
Duties
- Interpret and understand blueprints to execute welding projects
- Operate welding equipment to weld, cut, bend, and fabricate metal components
- Inspect materials and structures for welding defects
- Perform welding tasks efficiently to meet project deadlines
- Utilize various tools such as calipers, plasma cutters, forklifts, and machining equipment
- Read and interpret codes and standards related to welding projects
Skills
- Proficiency in welding techniques including MIG, TIG, and stick welding
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues with welding equipment
- Experience with sheet metal fabrication and machining processes
- Familiarity with construction site safety protocols
- Knowledge of welding codes and standards
- Proficiency in using calipers for precise measurements
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 50 per week

• Welding: 3 years (Required)
