Performance Personnel Services is actively recruiting Welder Helpers. The position involves handling materials, preparing the workspace and supporting welders with tools equipment, and welding procedures and grinding various types of metals in a variety of environments, including on-site at shipyards.
Responsibilities:

• Assist in the layout and positioning of materials for welding tasks.

· Prepare materials and surfaces for welding by cleaning, cutting, grinding, or fitting.
· Hold, move, and secure workpieces to help welders perform precise welds.
· Provide and manage tools, welding rods, and other materials during operations.
· Operate equipment such as grinders, saws, and pneumatic tools to support welding processes.
Requirements:

• Previous experience in a welding, fabrication, or construction environment is beneficial.
• Familiarity with welding processes such as MIG, TIG, or arc welding is a plus.
• Ability to handle and move heavy materials and equipment.
• Basic understanding of blueprint reading and welding symbols.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting, working in confined spaces, and operating in challenging environments
• Be prepared to work in various weather conditions as operations will be performed outside
• Must adhere to all safety protocols and wear PPE as required

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
