Will be responsible for ensuring the Project's (and by extension, CEDI's) compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements, through timely and accurate reporting and on-site monitoring at the Project site.
Project Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance
Acts as the contact person on the Project site for any compliance-related concerns or questions.
Assists in the implementation of compliance risk mitigation measures.
Guides and assists the EPC contractors (to the extent permitted in the contract) and CEDI Project team in handling the permitting, licensing and customs requirements of the Project.
Collaborates with the Project SHES Officer in ensuring compliance with safety, health & environment and labor rights at the Project site.
Collaborates with ARI Stakeholder Engagement team in documenting interactions with the local communities affected by the Project, taking into consideration CEDI’s internal and external stakeholders, and alignment with CEDI’s policies and programs as well as its business objectives.
Supports the Project team in investigating compliance risks and potential/actual violations (including whistleblowing reports) together with the Legal and Compliance Manager.
Anticipates, identifies, and assesses risks and proposes insights, risk-mitigating measures and safeguards against emerging legal and compliance risks that CEDI may be facing in connection with the Project.
Develops expertise on laws and regulations relevant to the Project and ensures knowledge transfer to the concerned end-users/stakeholders.
Engages with the EPC contractors to ensure the Project is being delivered in compliance with contractual, regulatory and legal requirements.
Ensures the Project's key legal and compliance issues are recorded, monitored and reported to the Legal and Compliance Manager.
Reports regularly to the Legal and Compliance Manager and the CEDI Corporate Governance Advisory Committee on the matters outlined above.
Bachelor's degree in Law or JD (or equivalent).
Extensive experience in ethics and compliance programs.
Strong understanding of domestic and international legal frameworks for compliance.
Familiarity with building effective ethics and compliance programs for multinational companies.
Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex concepts and influence decision-makers.
Experience delivering compliance training, both online and in-person.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and team collaboration.
Ability to stay updated on local and international compliance trends and regulations.
Proactive, with the ability to prioritize and manage large workloads under tight deadlines.
Proficiency in Share Point, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace.
Willing to travel to BGC, Taguig City as needed
