DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Bank Reconciliation
  • Responsible in performing the monthly bank reconciliation of all BDO accounts (Savings, Current, Cabanatuan, Davao, Cebu, CDO) and Security Bank Account
  • Reconciles the account “Account Receivable-ECN” and ensure that the latter is reflected in the books with its corresponding bank charges.
  • Ensures that all reconciling items are communicated to all concerned departments and appropriate adjusting entry is effected.
  • Ensures that check maintenance is updated to properly reflect the status of checks and that monthly list of unreceipted collection and outstanding checks are provided.
  • Maintenance and safekeeping of the daily collection summary of the cashiers.
2. Monitoring and Reconciliation of Contribution Deposit Accounts
  • Monitors and facilitates monthly reconciliation of Contribution Deposits and communicates reconciling items to concerned departments. Further, balances of contribution deposit shall be reported quarterly to the EVP, checked and noted by FMAS Manager and VP-FRC, respectively. Copies of such shall be furnished to BRO, Underwriting, VP-Treasury and VP-MIS. Purging of transactions in the deposit monitoring system.
  • Clean-up of long outstanding deposits.
3. Maintenance of Books of KCFC and two (2) Foundations
  • Encodes to the books of KCFC and two (2) Foundations the monthly transaction, which includes ORs, CVs, liquidations, etc., necessary for the preparation of financial statements
  • Recording of transactions in the manual book of accounts as required by the BIR
  • Bank reconciliation of the bank accounts of the two (2) Foundations.
  • Contact banks or TSD for reconciling items, where applicable
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Graduate of BS Accountancy or related course
2. Preferable with at least one (1) year experience in general accounting
3. Good written and oral communication skills
4. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
