Accounting Supervisor

Oversees accounting operations, including accounts payable, fixed asset management, general accounting, and systems audit, by implementing internal control over accounting functions and ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of the Bachelor of Science in Accountancy or any related course
  • With at least 2-3 years of experience in the same capacity.
Job Description
1. Manage the day-to-day operations of the section to ensure that:
  • All services under General Accounting are continuous, uninterrupted, and delivered in accordance with the company and industry standards.
  • Performance of services is timely and properly monitored, and
  • Delays and compliance are communicated to all concerned and promptly resolved.
2. Implements and interprets policies for subordinates, monitors and evaluates accounting practices, and recommends ways to improve the services and efficiency of the department.
3. Coordinates changes and improvements in automated financial and management information systems for the company.
4. Establishes and maintains appropriate internal control safeguards within the department.
5. Ensures records systems are maintained in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards.
6. Ensures timely preparation and recording of all journal entries in the books in accordance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards and other related accounting standards.
7. Maintains and monitors worksheets for all journal entries.
8. Ensures that all general ledgers are reconciled to their respective subsidiary ledgers and schedules.
9. Oversee the preparation of financial statements, financial reports, special analyses, and information reports.
10. Assist external auditors and provide required schedules and other related information for the annual audit.
11. Assists in planning and policy-making committees.
12. Ensures the safety and privacy of confidential documents and data.
13. Interact and coordinate with other department heads to ensure that:
  • Inter-department issues are addressed and resolved.
  • Synergy and efficiency are promoted, and
  • Communication lines are kept open.
14. Conducts coaching and counseling on work-related issues among staff to ensure accuracy of work and productivity in the team.
15. Keeps the manager informed on matters and concerns that are relevant and important in the conduct of the business of the section and the department as a whole.
16. Monitors the monthly work schedule of the department.
17. Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: Php30,000.00 - Php35,000.00 per month
