Assistant Manager General Ledger

By joining us as an Assistant Manager, General Ledger , you will be responsible for the efficient and effective day to day operations of General Ledger Team, Financial Statements preparation, including reporting, reconciliation and financial reviews, and will serve as a focal point of contact for audits.
In this capacity, you will perform internal reporting, prepare high-quality reports and reconciliations, collaborate with internal and Business Partners and help identify operational improvements to provide excellent financial service to Emerson as a member of the Global Financial Services Manila organization. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Maintains a thorough knowledge of Emerson’s CP&P, financial reporting policies and generally accepted accounting principles, internal control standards, and statutory reporting requirements, US GAAP and Local GAAP of Counterparts.
Responsible for Corporate Reporting of Financial Data.
Performs HFM Actuals Reporting.
Performs miscellaneous internal reporting such as embedded derivatives, hedging, etc.
To apply appropriate internal controls in compliance with Corporate Policies and Procedures (CP&P) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Responsible for the quality of the work performed by the General Ledger Team and take ownership in the control thereof.
Work proactively with Business Partners to resolve issues and escalations.
Ensures that General Ledger period, quarter and annual close requirements from own teams are met in a timely and accurate manner.

For This Role, You Will Need:

Bachelor’s degree in accountancy or any Accounting-related field.
5 to 7 years of relevant experience in general accounting, majority of which should be in General Ledger performing financial statements, corporate reporting, balance sheet reconciliation, and audit support.
Solid understanding of internal control and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications, preferably in Oracle and SAP.
