JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Chines Writer
Reports to: Department Head
Work Unit: Communications Department
Job summary:
Produces multi-media content for, and drive traffic to, the Tzu Chi Philippines website and social media channels.
Main duties & responsibilities:
1. Proactively seeks news stories, advocacy opportunities and brand building activities among the various foundation programs on social, education, medical, charity and humanitarian relief.
2. Creates, writes, and produces multi-media content, at times together with the videographer, as feature stories about the various social, education, relief, medical, and other charity, and humanitarian services of Tzu Chi Foundation, such as but not limited to:
- Documenting, researching, and developing written content; Includes photo documentation and curating stories captured in film.
- Producing high quality film, photography, audio, digital and other possible multi-media content
3. On occasions of coverages for major disasters and similar events of huge significance, must be able to submit at least one story within the day of the event.
4. Interviews key personalities and stakeholders such as volunteers, beneficiaries, donors, partners, government officials and or local executives, and special other special guests.
5. Monitors and ensures the release or distribution of created content at the various media platforms of Tzu Chi Foundation in the Philippines and Taiwan.
6. Builds strong professional relationships with internal stakeholders/partners like the Charity and Volunteer Affairs department, and TCF field offices, to facilitate timely and appropriate media coverage, accurate reporting, and relevant information collection
7. Performs other communications related duties appropriate to the role, as required by foundation operations, and assigned by superiors
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From Php25,000.00 per month
