Position Title: Chapter Service Representative – Disaster Management Service / Welfare Service
Position Purpose
To promote, support and guide the Philippine Red Cross at Chapter level in the coordination and implementation of Disaster Management and Disaster Risk Reduction training, programs and activities in the community.
Duties and Responsibilities:
 Promote and champion Disaster Management and Welfare Service programs and activities within the community
 Develop training and education materials to support community based training programs
 Conduct training, education and information dissemination activities within the community regarding disaster preparedness, risk reduction and recovery and welfare
programs
 Coach & mentor volunteers Coordinate & support implementation of
programs and activities
 Ensure programs and activities adhere to Philippine Red Cross guidelines & standards, Philippine Law, Local Government & Municipality Law & standards
 Support and manage disaster relief implementation Evaluate current Disaster Management and Welfare Service programs and activities
 Identify and recommend enhancements to existing programs and activities
 Coordinate staff & volunteers to support program & activity implementation
 Support Chapter & National Headquarters with preparation of reporting by supplying accurate & time data & information for monthly and annual reporting.
 Support Chapter operations and activities as requested by the Chapter Administrator/Manager
Qualifications/Minimum Education:
 Bachelor’s Degree – Graduate of a 4 year course
Work Experience & Skills:
 Minimum 1 years’ experience in Disaster Management and Welfare Service or similar
role required
 Ability to build and maintain productive working relationships within and external to
the Philippine Red Cross
 Demonstrated proficiency with applications such as Word, Excel, PPT
 Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Equipment Used:
Standard office equipment including computer, phone, photocopier etc. Disaster Management specific equipment.
Working Environment:
Office Based and Field Work
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Schedule:

• 8 hour shift

Supplemental Pay:

• 13th month salary
