HR Specialist (Onboarding, Labor & Benefits, Employee Relations)

Elder Care Homecare is seeking a Human Resource Specialist. We are a private pay homecare agency servicing Westchester County, Long Island, and the New York Metro Area, with additional expansion planned within the next year. This is a work from home role based in Davao Region, Philippines.
Elder Care has been in operation for over seven years, however our growth has dramatically increased over the last two. The ideal candidate will have experience as a strong generalist responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of an HR department. This role reports into our Director of Human Resources.
In this role, you will work closely with the HR Director on hiring and onboarding team members, ensuring compliance, and administering programs, policies and procedures. Ultimately, you will foster a healthy workplace by ensuring our HR procedures run smoothly at all times.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to the Human Resources Department
  • Assist with new hire onboarding and coordination
  • Assist with benefits administration, ongoing enrollments and annual , open enrollments, and COBRA, etc.
  • Assist with 401(k) administration and enrollments
  • Assist with performance review tracking and administration
  • Update employee records with new hire information and/or changes in employment status
  • Respond to employees’ queries in a timely manner
  • Assist with various leaves of absences
  • Manage and maintain compliant electronic records and files
  • Maintain knowledge of employment law, legislation, trends, practices and standards
  • Recommend new procedures and work flows to ensure continuous process improvement
  • Special projects as they arise
Required:
  • Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2+ years of Human Resources experience
  • Ability to work in a remote environment and work US hours (EST)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Healthcare industry experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Php700,000.00 - Php750,000.00 per year

  • 8 hour shift
