POSITION PURPOSE:
As a member of the Infrastructure Shared Services, the Infrastructure Operations Analyst for Patching & Anti-virus will be the associate to his/her department towards the Business Units and project teams and will help in determining role in the management, support, maintenance, implementation, administration and lifecycle management of Infrastructure solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Work under the ISS directives to monitor compliance on both patching and anti-virus management, investigate and implement solution on non-compliance and perform regular patching activities.
2. Perform Antivirus and encryption management tasks including but not limited to: optimized antivirus deployment, antivirus console account management, policy management and threat prevention setup.
3. Perform Patch management tasks include: maintaining current knowledge of available patches, deciding what patches are appropriate for particular systems, ensuring that patches are installed properly, testing systems after installation, and documenting all associated procedures.
4. Test new releases of products to ensure compatibility and minimize user impact.
5. Basic troubleshooting and implementation of solution in conjunction with vendor and third-party support within the applicable technology platform that you will be responsible for.
6. Recommend and implement system enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system in upgrading/patching.
7. Develop and document technical processes and procedures as needed.
8. Adhere to strict Information Systems security guidelines in all cases.
9. Compliance KPI Reporting on an agreed interval
10. Drive resolving/addressing low compliance (not simply reporting but addressing low compliance)
11. Comply and being proactive with the ITSM processes lifecycle & SLA standards:
· Incident Management - Maintain effective escalation and customer focused communication in the event of incidents; Take ownership and regularly update with your actions of any assigned incidents; Required to investigate and diagnose the incident accurately and effectively; Prioritize your response to the incident based on the Priority and Severity of the issue; Define an action plan for detailed diagnosis with the aim to resolve the incident and restore normal service operation as soon as possible; Initiate Problem Record for recurring multiple incidents and/or the incident is deemed to have a deeper issue that requires root cause analysis or escalation.
· Problem Management - Responsible for detection and initiation of the Problem record (PMR), Initial categorization, classification and prioritization of the problem record
· Change Management - Coordinate with various parties for change request management operation; Performing the routine tasks that keep the infrastructure running is a core part of the role. Perform/implement Change requests with provided implementation plan/steps.
· Continuous Service Improvement - Contribute in quality and productivity improvement projects, providing analysis of information; Ensure the Compliance of processes and best practices outlined by the Technical Supervisor and Management;
12. Pro-active in ensuring stability, response time, operational consistency and life cycle over the patching and anti-virus components for Infrastructures, while providing monthly reports on activity, quality and performance on Patching
13. Has initiative to participate in emerging projects.
14. Report on administration and project progress to the ISS Team Leader, Delivery Manager and Infrastructure Head.
15. Able to contribute to appropriate documentation, including procedures for the Operations & Services and Pre-Production departments
16. Follow training plans, requirements and schedules as outlined. Complete and keep up to date with all Mandatory trainings
