Responsible for overseeing and executing complex tax compliance and planning functions for a diverse client base. This role requires a deep understanding of tax legislation and its application to various business structures.
The Salary Range: 50,000 -60,000
The Work Set-Up:

Work onsite
8-hour work shift
Monday to Friday
Day shift (6 am-3pm)

The Responsibilities:

Prepare accurate and timely tax returns for Sole Traders, Partnerships, Trusts, Companies, and SMSFs.
Demonstrate expertise in handling complex tax scenarios such as Division 7A and Trust Distribution minutes.
Develop and implement comprehensive tax planning strategies for family group structures (2 or more entities min).
Identify tax-saving opportunities and minimize tax liabilities for clients.
Provide proactive tax advice to clients on business transactions and financial decisions.
Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
Manage any Taxation audits by the Australian Taxation Office on behalf of the clients.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax legislation and industry best practices.
Provide tax-related business advice to clients, including recommendations on business structure, financial management, and risk mitigation.
Identify opportunities for business growth and improvement through tax-efficient strategies.
Perform other accounting-related tasks as required.

The Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
3 - 5 years of proven experience in Tax Accounting and Compliance
Holds or is studying towards a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification
In-depth knowledge of complex tax legislation
Any tax or business advisory knowledge is a bonus
Management of a small team is not necessary but ideal
Proficient in relevant tax software and accounting systems such as Quick Books and/or Xero
Autonomous worker, driven and passionate about their life (personal & work)
Personable and/or bubbly
Attention to detail
Courageous or not afraid to fail
