QUANTITY SURVEYOR (MEP)
JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsible for conducting quantity take-offs for Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection Works during the bidding phase. Duties include reviewing, analyzing and consolidating information from drawings, specifications, and bid documents. Review and understand the design package and prepare itemize list of scope using the information specified on the project drawings and bulletins.
This role involves identifying trade requirements for each project and generating quotation requests for Suppliers and Subcontractors. Ensuring the accuracy of all estimates and aligning scope descriptions with design requirements.
Additionally, accountable for assessing the actual site conditions where the project will be executed. Disseminating this information to determine pre-construction tasks and establishing suitable construction methodologies.
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review bid documents including instruction to bidders, plans, specifications, etc. to determine scope of works.
• Prepare financial submittals including Proposal Form, Bill of Quantities, Exclusions and Qualifications, and other financial documents as required.
• Timely submission of quantity take-offs, list of exclusions, list of qualifications and other bid submittals.
• Fill-out and properly mark the Bill of Quantities conforming to the drawings, specifications and Owner’s instruction.
• Prepare request for quotation including, form, plans, specifications, and other documents that are essential for the preparation of cost proposals of the equipment vendors and suppliers.
• Review plans and specifications and prepare tender queries and request for information to be submitted to the client.
• Attend site inspections to verify the actual condition of the existing utilities to be considered in the bids.
• Attend Prebid meetings and clarification meetings.
• Take part in technical meeting with Operations to determine applicable project implementation strategy.
• Liaise with the project team regarding considerations, assumptions, exclusions and qualifications made on the submitted tenders.
• Turn over to project team all issued plans, specifications, written instruction and communication, tender bulletins, and all other bid documents.

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS REQUIREMENT
Educational Attainment:

• Must be a Graduate of BS Mechanical Engineering

Work Experience:

• 0-2 years of work experience in construction or any related field

Technical Competencies:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Programs (Word, Excel, Power Point)
• Proficiency in using Plan Swift or other quantity take-off software
