Regional Sales Manager

You will be part of the Diabetes Sales Department, our team is devoted to promoting and selling Novo Nordisk’s products to healthcare professionals, pharmacies, hospitals, and other public institutions. We focus on developing and implementing effective sales strategies, managing customer relationships, and overseeing sales operations and administration. Our department flourishes on collaboration, innovation, and a shared commitment to improving patients’ lives. This position will manage 5 direct reports and will report to the Diabetes Sales Director. The sales territory for this position includes Greater Manila, North and Central Luzon and Western Visayas. The candidate must be willing to be based in Manila.
As a Regional Sales Manager, your principal role will be to enhance the sales capabilities within the region and lead your team to exceed established targets. You will be in charge of driving sales productivity through the strategic implementation of effective sales and marketing initiatives, while following the ethical standards, local regulations, and Novo Nordisk policies.
Specific responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Drive interactions with relevant accounts through various methods such as promotions, meetings, and events. Collaborate with Marketing, Medical, Commercial Excellence (CE), and Key Account Management to set goals and standards.
- Conduct regular business reviews and territory diagnostics to identify gaps and recommend actions. Adjust programs to meet customer needs and increase regional sales. Ensure product availability in hospitals and drugstores, and collaborate with distributors on distribution and sales.
- Build strong relationships with the medical community and key customers through frequent interactions and marketing activities. Assist the Sales Director in preparing forecasts to achieve targets, increase market share, and strengthen market position.
- Review and approve expenses, manage activities within budget, and ensure accurate sales records and reporting. Lead Future Frontline Customer Engagement (FFCE) implementation, ensure high adoption and KPI achievement, and use Multi-channel Engagement (MCE) tools to boost sales and enhance customer engagement.
- Manage a team by setting objectives, providing coaching, and recognizing achievements. Collaborate with People & Organization (P&O) on hiring, conduct performance reviews, and offer feedback to ensure a high-performing and driven team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Medical, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Regional Sales Manager and at least 5 years of experience in people management within the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry.
- Strong business understanding of the pharmaceutical and diabetes market.
- Proven experience in sales and operations, with demonstrated agility and resilience.
- Excellent English communication skills (both spoken and written), with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
