Responsible for implementing company health and safety programs, compliance strategies and inspection of sites for hazards, assessment, and application of control measures. Contributes to the development, revision, and enhancement of the company’s safety and health policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS

• Certification in Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH) Training

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

• Possess the Certificate required by The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) for the implementation of Republic Act No. 11058 also known as the Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHS) law.
• Good knowledge on implementing rules and regulations (IRR) of the Philippines’ Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHS) law.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Safety and Planning: Develop and implement long-term safety and health strategies aligned with company goals. Collaborate with senior management to integrate safety objectives into the organization's broader mission.
Program Management: Oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of comprehensive safety and health programs across the organization. Adapt safety programs based on evaluations and evolving industry standards.
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and supervise SOI and SO2 personnel to ensure they perform their roles effectively. Organize and manage the safety department or team, including resource allocation and budgeting.
Advanced Risk Management: Conduct advanced risk assessments and hazard analyses across various sectors of the company. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies at an organizational level.
Stakeholder Engagement: Represent the organization in discussions with regulatory bodies, industry groups, and other external stakeholders. Coordinate with other departments to ensure company-wide adherence to safety standards.
Training and Development: Supervise and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs conducted by junior safety officers. Identify the need for and facilitate advanced safety training and professional development opportunities for the safety team.
Policy and Standard Formulation: Draft, revise, and update internal safety policies, standards, and guidelines. Ensure alignment with national and international safety standards and best practices.
Complex Incident Investigation: Lead investigations into major incidents or systemic safety issues using advanced investigative techniques. Provide recommendations to senior management based on findings.
Safety and Crisis Management: Promote a culture of safety throughout the organization, driving behavioral change and commitment at all levels. Organize and lead safety awareness campaigns and events.
Emergency and Crisis Management: Plan and lead the response to emergencies or crises that could impact a significant portion of the organization or its reputation. Collaborate with external agencies and partners during such events.
Compliance and Audit: Oversee regular internal safety audits and inspections. Liaise with external auditors or regulatory bodies during their inspections to ensure compliance.
Technological Integration: Evaluate and integrate advanced safety technologies, tools, or software solutions to enhance safety performance across the organization. Lead the development of temporary safety tools while waiting for long-term improvements.
Security Management and Employee Safety: Manage the security team to enforce safety procedures such as the proper use of walkways, pedestrian crossings, and safety gear like reflective vests. Task the security team with managing traffic flow to ensure employee safety.
Warehouse Clinic Management: Oversee warehouse clinic activities, ensuring continuous clinic operations by maintaining complete resources. Responsible for maintaining clinic records, reviewing clinic staff performance, and making key decisions regarding contract renewals.
