Position Summary
The Senior Accountant role is responsible for applying accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements, and ensure appropriate counting control procedures for the various departments and divisions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Perform full cycle accounting tasks, including but not limited to preparing journal entries and account reconciliations for the assigned areas
• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts
• Preparation of monthly financial statements including, but not limited to, balance sheet, income statement, statement of cash flows, and trial balance with associated working papers
• Oversee and perform statistical analysis to determine trends, estimates, and significant changes
• Assist finance team with updating proformas with actual data
• Prepare financial statement disclosures
• Review loan agreements, prepare and maintain amortization schedules including calculating and preparing loan payments
• Assist in year-end closing and auditing activities
• Provide mentorship for Accounting Associate(s) and work closely with the Accounting Manager
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Flexible to work outside of normal business hours when necessary.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• Atleast 3-5 years of progressive and related experience in Corporate Accounting and/or Financial Reporting; Big 4 Accounting experience preferred
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or Finance is required
• CPA certification preferred but not required
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to provide business-driving recommendations
• Proficiency in creating and analyzing reports and an ability to integrate data into a cohesive analysis
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Microsoft Office preferred/Microsoft Excel experience required)
• Understanding of standing accounting software, Microsoft Dynamics knowledge a plus
