Position Overview:
Let Us Care Foundation Inc. is seeking a passionate and dedicated Social Worker to join our team. The Social Worker will be responsible for managing a caseload of families and children, ensuring their holistic well-being through a family-centered approach. This role demands a strong commitment to child protection, family support, and community engagement, and requires a candidate with excellent communication, counseling, and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Case Management: Manage a caseload of vulnerable children and families, conducting in-depth assessments to identify their needs, strengths, and risk factors.
2. Development Planning: Collaborate with families to create and implement Individual/Family Development Plans based on assessment outcomes, ensuring that plans focus on sustainable change.
3. Home Visits and Community Engagement: Conduct regular home visits, interviews, and consultations with families, teachers, and community members to gather essential information and provide appropriate support.
4. Progress Monitoring: Regularly monitor families’ progress, adjusting development plans as needed, and provide crisis intervention when necessary (e.g., domestic violence, eviction, health emergencies).
5. Counseling and Support: Provide counseling to help families improve coping skills, conflict resolution, parenting practices, and overall family well-being.
6. Record-Keeping: Maintain detailed, confidential case records, including assessments, progress reports, and outcome evaluations, ensuring compliance with foundation protocols.
Qualifications:
· Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related field. A professional license in Social Work is preferred.
· Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience working in social work or case management, ideally with vulnerable children and families in a nonprofit or community setting. Experience in family-based intervention strategies is essential.
· Skills:
o Strong interpersonal, counseling, and communication skills.
o Ability to manage sensitive cases and navigate complex family dynamics.
o Familiarity with child protection laws, community resources, and rights of children.
o Excellent organizational and documentation skills to maintain accurate records.
· Mobility: Willingness to travel to communities for assessments and follow-up visits.
Salary is based on qualifications, experience, and capacity. On-site accommodation can be provided for employees who require housing near our San Jose, Antique office.
