Description & Requirements

An Associate Software Engineer fixes application bugs, create enhancements, conducts unit testing through manual execution or automation, to maintain and expand the HR Talent application and address customer reported issues within the Service Level Objective.

A DAY IN THE LIFE:

Performs design, implementation and maintenance of products while complying with SDLC processes and coding standards

Performs system administration and performance troubleshooting in development and customer environments

Provides product release support.

Performs maintenance and enhancement of existing product modules.

Prepares program documentation of product components.

Ensures products conform to design or usability requirements

Conducts peer review, impact analysis of code changes, root cause analysis and other standard processes in the SDLC.

Handles regulatory compliance maintenance

REQUIRED SKILLS

Bachelor's degree or similar in software engineering, information technology, or computer science

Strong communications, interpersonal and PC skills

Work experience includes development of new programs or significantly large feature enhancements, maintenance and involvement on database design/structure changes

Excellent problem-solving skills

Must have attended trainings or courses on any Object Oriented Programming Language

Ability to develop and interpret technical plans/designs

Willing to learn and work with a proprietary programming language

Willing to participate on on-call support tasks and activities as necessary during regular, mid-shift, weekend, holidays, or deployments

Good written and verbal communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Team player

Can complete self-paced trainings under minimal supervision

Able to work with under pressure and within tight deadlines with a positive attitude

Able to communicate and participate during meetings and reviews with US counterparts and willing to attend the meetings/reviews which might be scheduled early in the morning or late night.

If experienced, at least 1-2 years of programming background/experience (Java or any OOP languages)
