Responsibilities

• Handles structural engineering calculations, plans, design, layout & project specifications
• Coordinates all aspects of structural design review of the division with architects, other trades, consultants, and suppliers, including matters that would involve the structural in the design
• Applies specialized knowledge and scientific principles to review and comment on structural design plans
• Ensures that the relevant design standard is applied in the design in accordance with established protocols, policies and procedures
• Research design options that can be applied to new projects
• Facilitates work sessions with project architect and consultants
• Perform field activities such as checking of field-cured samples, observe and record existing field conditions, take and verify measurements within the project area
• Prepare and write technical reports
• Check and review RFA and RFI related to structural design

Qualifications

• Must have a Professional License in Civil Engineering or Equivalent
• At least 2 years Engineering Experience, in either Civil, Construction, Structural or an Equivalent
• Strong Communication Skills, able to coordinate with architects, consultants and suppliers on structural design
• Strong Organizational Skills, observing and recording field conditions and verifying measurements
• Willing to work on-site in San Pedro, Laguna
