Truck Trailer Driver

A Trailer Truck Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods using a large commercial vehicle, such as a tractor-trailer (semi-truck) or heavy truck. The driver ensures that cargo is loaded, transported, and delivered according to schedule while complying with all safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Trailer Truck:
- Safely operate a trailer truck or semi-trailer for transporting goods over long or short distances.
- Maneuver vehicle into loading/unloading positions, following signals from loading crew and checking that the vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned.
- Loading and Unloading Cargo:
- Secure cargo for transport, ensuring it is properly loaded and complies with weight restrictions.
- Assist with loading and unloading cargo when required or oversee the process to ensure compliance with safety procedures.
- Delivery Schedule:
- Follow assigned routes and delivery schedules, ensuring that all deliveries are made on time.
- Monitor road conditions, traffic, and weather to make real-time decisions regarding route adjustments.
- Communicate with dispatchers regarding any delays or issues encountered during the trip.
- Vehicle Maintenance and Inspection:
- Perform routine inspections of the truck before and after trips, checking tire pressure, brakes, fluids, lights, and other critical systems.
- Report any mechanical problems to the appropriate personnel and arrange for repairs as needed.
- Ensure that the truck is clean and in good operating condition at all times.
- Compliance with Safety Regulations:
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations governing commercial vehicle operation, including hours-of-service (HOS) rules.
- Maintain accurate logs and records in compliance with the Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Practice defensive driving and follow all company safety protocols.
- Customer Service:
- Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner during pickups and deliveries.
- Obtain customer signatures and complete all necessary delivery documentation.
- Record-Keeping:
- Maintain accurate records of cargo, mileage, fuel, and any other relevant details.
- Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and submitted promptly.
Pay: Php2,500.00 - Php3,500.00 per day
Schedule:
- Flextime
- On call
- Truck Driver: 1 year (Preferred)
