About the role and the team
The Distribution Team is an important part of the A+E family. We are responsible for all of our distribution deals with platforms across the Central Europe, including Poland, Romania, Hungary, Serbia and other key territories.
In this role, your duties will be wide and varied. They will include owning the relationship and renewal process for a selection of our partners; ensuring the smooth operation of channel services and channel distribution deals; being the “go to” person internally for queries relating to our deals; and assisting with preparing documents for presenting to partners and to internal departments.
This is a permanent position. This role will be hybrid based in the Warsaw office, working on exciting, award-winning brands like HISTORY Channel and Crime+Investigation.

Key Responsibilities

As agreed with the Senior Commercial Director, own the relationship with our small to medium partnerships in Poland to ensure A+E Networks remains a valuable partner and is included in all relevant platform initiative

Explore ways in which we can provide additional services to our partners to increase annual revenue

Identify platforms across Central Europe where our channels are not carried and instigate initial commercial discussions

Manage the day-to-day relationships with external partners and internal stakeholders

Work closely with our Finance and Marketing teams, including holding regular meetings, to ensure the Distribution Team are across the latest developments

Maintain the Distribution Renewals Laydown, ensuring it is kept up to date with the latest expiry and rollover dates for all of our agreements, and the financial information is accurate

Own and keep up to date the subscriber reports provided by Finance, ensuring we always know the latest subscriber numbers for each of the platforms

Provide regular updates to the business on active discussions the Distribution team are undertaking

Produce and keep updated channel pitch decks for each of our brands to ensure they are available for partner discussions
Person Specification
-
Experience of working either for a broadcaster, content service or platform, in a Commercial capacity
-
Experience in relationship building and managing external and internal stakeholders
-
Fluency in Polish and English is essential. Proficiency in additional Central European language would be an advantage
-
High degree of computer literacy, good knowledge of Word, Excel and Power Point, and can collate & analyse data

A “can do” attitude and is proactive, ensuring the Director, Partnerships has the necessary support at all times

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise with people at all levels internally and externally

A genuine passion for TV and an interest in and understanding of the media industry
