Functional area: Legal / Compliance
Your future plans:
- Responsibility for national and regional data protection issues, in particular concerning the implementation of new requirements under data protection law
- Supporting the Management, Executives and the specialist departments in ensuring compliance with data protection laws as well as autonomous contribution thereto, e. g. by tracking of continuous improvement measures & consulting on data protection topics & measures.
- Building an interface to and supporting members of Group Data Protection in the development, improvement and implementation of Group standards & processes; ensuring alignment with regional best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the data protection management system: participation in the preparation of reports, analyses, monthly KPIs etc., incl. submission thereof to Group Data Protection
- Assisting and participating in multidisciplinary projects as well as close cooperation with various Group functions across the borders of your country
- Managing interactions with data protection regulatory authorities - particularly in case of personal data breaches - and data subjects;
- Maintenance of the record of processing activities of the respective RWE company/ies
- Assessing IT systems and processes, i. a., to observe the principles of privacy by design and privacy by default, conducting data protection impact assessments and assisting in the mitigation of risks identified
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating of data processing agreements / EU Standard Contractual Clauses (or equivalent contractual mechanisms providing appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers of personal data)
- Delivery of training and awareness-raising measures (at national and international level) as well as data protection audits in your area of responsibility Ability to travel domestically and internationally
Your strengths:
- University degree in economics, law, information security or business informatics
- Sound knowledge of and professional experience with data protection law as well as other relevant legal norms in the responsible region/law area
- High IT affinity and passion for data protection matters
- Proficiency in English, Polish
- Ability to build trusting relationships with stakeholders and advise them on complex issues on an equal-to-equal basis and in a way that is appropriate for the target group
- Team player with a strong customer focus, out-of-the-box thinking and negotiation skills
- Advantageous, but not a must
- You feel at home in several cultures and legal systems
- Data-protection- and IT-specific certificates and advanced trainings
