• Responsible for Tech Ops Cloud & Hosting solutions being aligned to best practices by staying informed about industry trends and standards, participating in external forums, and collaborating with other companies like Ferring.
• Act as a key contributor in producing clear and well-defined tactical roadmaps for the Tech Ops Cloud & Hosting area, and for some Tech Ops Cloud & Hosting solutions in more detail.
• Translate project-specific needs into solutions that will suit those needs, taking into consideration project demands such as resource usage and scalability.
• Identify dependencies and common infrastructure components and assess aggregation methods.
• Ensure relevant artefacts, e.g., run-books, processes, diagrams, configuration management are created and maintain ownership of related artifacts.
• Manage Tech Ops Cloud & Hosting solution lifecycle with Ferring partners, validate solutions meet design requirements, audit and validate tools and techniques used by the different partners to maintain our Tech Ops Cloud & Hosting solutions.
• Work closely with both Lo B as well as Global IT colleagues in particular project managers, service managers and application managers to avoid redundancy, minimize expenditures and improve overall synergies within the organization.
• Ensure that all solutions follow security and compliance controls, including data sovereignty.
• Act as Single point of contact between IT applications, business and suppliers for architecture and design purpose.
• Be in control of assets needed to operate our Tech Ops Cloud & Hosting solutions and aid in managing outsourcer cost.

• 10+ years’ experience designing, executing, and supporting cloud (AWS or Azure) and hosting solutions.
• You need to have a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or another relevant field.
• Excellent architecture understanding of cloud and hosting.
• Visionary on how the future of Tech Ops cloud and hosting in general should evolve.
• Strong architecture & design expertise deep knowledge of the Microsoft on premises products scope (Legacy Microsoft OS systems, Windows OS (Server and Client), Active Directory, Sharepoint, SCCM, Microsoft SQL, File and Print services, etc.).
• Strong architecture & design expertise deep knowledge on AWS, Azure, Hyper-V, VMware, Cloud Connectivity. Cisco and Linux Technology is a plus.
• In-depth skills relating to virtualization, storage (physical, virtual, cloud), data center, backup, disaster recovery, and cloud solutions
• Need to have strong experience managing and remediating AWS or Azure landing zones and Hyper-V / VMware environments
• Strong knowledge of Iaa S, Paa S, and Saa S architecture offered on cloud platforms and understand how to use them together to establish complex solutions
• Knowledge of database administration (native cloud, SQL, Postgre SQL, Oracle)
• Knowledge relating to virtual desktops, Remote Apps (VMware Horizon, Microsoft RDS pharm environments).
• Knowledge of networking engineering, including DNS, firewalls, load balancing, etc.
• Knowledge of best practices for IT operations
• Experience with infrastructure as code (Ia C) and automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Puppet and Chef
• Strong experience working with- and managing Outsourcing providers
• Support Ferring Techops Incident, Service Request and Change Management processes based on the Service Now platform.
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges
• Experience with problem solving issues on distributed systems and critical product service environments
• Knowledge with Agile Scrum methodology or working within a Safe Framework
• Experience working within regulated industries
• Excellent organizational, coordination, interpersonal and communication skills and experience working in an international team across locations and time-zones
• Availability to work on a predefined on-call schedule.
