About the role
Are you passionate about creating a safer, more sustainable future? Do you have the expertise to lead impactful change in the areas of process safety, environmental stewardship, and compliance? Orica is looking for an experienced Manager – SHES with a focus on Process Safety & Environment to join our EMEA team based in Lisbon, Portugal! In this role you will lead a team of specialists and influence business to provide expert SH&E knowledge, strategic advice, and comprehensive processes that enable the EMEA Business to meet Orica’s SH&E objectives and KPIs. Drive continuous improvement approach to assuring compliance with workplace health, safety, environment and industry standards, and reducing the risk of major incidents occurring at the Manufacturing Centre or Sub-Regional Area.
What you will be doing
Aligns all behaviours with Orica’s Charter Values, Purpose and Strategy.
Provide specialist SH&E technical advice, systems and tools to help the site to achieve compliance with Orica’s SH&E requirements. ·
Provide visible leadership to prevent or correct behaviours or work conditions not consistent with Orica’s SH&E values or standards. ·
Drive the formulation, implementation of application processes and plans to meet Orica SH&E values and standards.
Provide advice and support to line management for their SH&E accountabilities to comply with SH&E values and standards.
Develop, provide and continuously improve SH&E KPIs for line management and SH&E support team to identify areas of focus and deliverables.
Develop and coach SH&E team in the provision of SH&E advice, support and SH&E application tools.
Complying with Orica’s financial standards and processes.

SH&E leadership establishing the Process safety and Environment network.

Process Safety keep QD and Hazard Studies Site information available and evergreen, providing traing and upgrading skills and capabilities of specialist.
Environment: Coordinate the updated EMP, Environment Assessment , providing traing and upgrading skills and capabilities of specialist.
Coordinate SH&E internal/external reporting requirements and overview of regulators demand.
Networking with SH&E and Business related groups.
Coordinate of the auditing of the SH&E requirements.
Maintenance Safety Report – Process Safety and Environment.
Coordinating resources for the operation and implementation of systems and processes.
Maintenance of Site SH&E related procedures, guidelines and tools.

What you will bring
