Job Title: Environmental Specialist/ Engineer (Ashghal Approved)
Location: Doha, Qatar*(Lusail - Qatar university )
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Specialist with Ashghal approval to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in Environmental Management and Sustainability practices, particularly in construction projects on major international and regional developments.
Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor Environmental Management Plans (CEMP) and Sustainability practices for construction projects.
• Ensure compliance with environmental permitting requirements and regulatory standards from local authorities (Ashghal).
• Conduct environmental audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and ensure sustainable practices are integrated into project operations.
• Provide technical advice on environmental issues, ensuring best practices are followed.
• Facilitate ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) implementation and conduct Lead Auditor training.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure that environmental and sustainability standards are met throughout all project phases.
• Manage environmental impact assessments (EIAs), including preparation of reports and recommendations.
• Coordinate with stakeholders, government bodies, and regulatory agencies regarding environmental approvals and permits.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor environmental performance and ensure compliance with CEMP and sustainability initiatives.
• Provide training and awareness sessions to staff on environmental policies, standards, and best practices.
• Monitor and report environmental performance metrics, ensuring adherence to project environmental goals and regulations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Science or Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of overall experience in Environmental Management and Sustainability, with at least 4 years in managing environmental and sustainability requirements for major projects.
• Ashghal-approved Environmental Specialist will be preferred
• Strong knowledge and experience in implementing Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMP).
• Familiarity with environmental permitting requirements and regulatory standards.
• Level 6 NEBOSH Environmental Diploma or IEMA Certificate in Environmental Management.
• ISO 14001 EMS Lead Auditor Training is required.
