Mechanical Engineer (Healthcare Sector Background)

Job Qualifications & Experience:
- Healthcare Specialist services as listed in the Specific Proposal Requirement and hereunder.
- Requirements (failing any bold-font/underline requirement might disqualify the Consultant staff). The Experience requirements need to be clearly demonstrated in the offer.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an internationally accredited University of any proposed Consultant staff.
- MMUP Grade A certified of any proposed Consultant staff.
- Minimum Twenty (20) years of Total Experience and Ten (10) years of Experience in Healthcare industry with comprehensive experience in Engineering Discipline and Healthcare Specialties, associated technologies, and facilities, including Operational Hospitals.
- Minimum Five (10) years of experience in Designing Healthcare projects with prominent design & consultancy services firms.
- Minimum Five (7) years of experience with the Bidding Consultancy and delivering major HMC- Healthcare Projects.
- Strong knowledge & experience (to be clearly demonstrated in the offer) in design and consultancy services for Hospital/Healthcare projects with HVAC, Medical Gases Piping System, Chilled Water for Central Energy Plant/ETS/Building , Wet Fire Fighting System, Fire Suppression, FM 200, Aerosol System, and Building Management System (BMS), Domestic Water & Drainage, Steam Boiler System.
- Strong knowledge & experience (clearly demonstrated in the offer) for design 8 consultancy service Healthcare Specialties: Mortuary, Dialysis & RO Water system, Laboratory Special plumbing& Drainage, Cryogenic Systems, Special HVAC systems for OR, Sterile Compounding (Pharmaceutical Compounding area- IV Preparation and Hazardous Drugs setting), BSL 3 Laboratory, Radiology (LINAC, Neuro-Angio), CSSD, IVF, Main/OPD/Satellite Pharmacy, Filtration & RO system, Clean Rooms, Laboratories - Hospital grade, Kitchen-Hospital grade , Material Management-Hospital grade, Water Quality-Hospital grade, etc.
- Strong knowledge & experience (clearly demonstrated in the offer) for design 8 consultancy service Healthcare Specialties related to Medical Equipment, Laboratory Equipment especially for Molecular Lab Equipment and Mortuary.
- Strong knowledge & experience (clearly demonstrated in the offer) for space planning for the various Mechanical Services and coordination with the other disciplines.
- Experience in large multi-million dollars Engineering Building Services projects.
- Strong Leadership skills, and project supervision skills.
- Experience in working with Local Authorities (e.g. QCDD, ASHGHAL, MME, MOI, KAHRAMAA, WAQOD etc.) and strong knowledge of Statutory Regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent technical team and interpersonal skills.
- Experience and detailed knowledge (clearly demonstrated in the offer) of relevant International Codes & Standards and HMC DSF & Policies.
- Ability to lead a team of Discipline Engineers and coordinate with the other disciplines.
- Experience with Contractors, Sub-Contractors, Consultants, Worldwide Suppliers/Vendors (including Medical Equipment & lab Equipment Vendors), in particular those involved in the Design, Procurement and Construction of major Healthcare facilities.
- Knowledge of specialist (clearly demonstrated in the offer) Mechanical Engineering software e.g. Hourly Analysis Program (HAP), Trace, IES, HEVACOMP, MEP REVIT, CEASAR II, Fire Dynamic Simulator, Elite, Mc Quay Duct sizer and Pipe sizer, SPC Coil selection, Oxygen Depletion System etc. is an advantage and general business software, e.g. Aconex, PMWeb, etc.
- Experience in Value Engineering and Risk Management relating to Hospital/Healthcare Projects in general and Mechanical Systems and specialties in particular.
