The main purpose of this position is to manage and responsible for overseeing planning, implementing, and delivering of construction projects (on-time) through budgeting, hiring/allocating team members, sourcing suppliers, and ensuring all operations/departments move forward on-schedule. Often, communicating regularly with suppliers, clients and the project manager of various sites, updating all the construction progress information to the Executive Manager by closely working with him. Coordinating with all the department heads for day-to-day smooth site operations.
Duties and responsibilities:
· To execute a given contract in accordance with the contract terms, within the approved budget and in accordance with the company policies.
· Study the contract documents; · prepare project cost control budget; · planning of the project “execution and resources”
· Execute the project as per contract condition within the time specified; ·
· To research special supplies and sub-contracts and make appropriate recommendations to the company management and procurement section.; ·
· Request consumables and services; ·
· Use the project resources in an economic cost and effective manner, to control outputs; ·
· Prepare payment certificates; ·
· Liaise with the consultant/ client for claims and variations to the contract. ·
· Coordinate between different sections; ·
· Liaise with third parties (organizations and departments) · monitor the work production; * Authorities: ·
· Discipline personnel as may be required; ·
· Manage the implementation of sub-contracts; ·
· Secure services from the various departments of the company in their respective fields of competence *Interfaces: with other project managers, with company department heads;
· Responsible for exercise due diligence towards health and safety of self & others in the organization.
· Responsible to comply with the applicable health & safety procedures, instruction, requirements, laws, regulations from customers, regulatory and statutory bodies.
· Responsible for reporting to his/her supervisors’ occurrence’s, events and acts that may affect health, safety and company reputation.
· Performs any other related duties and responsibilities as required or, assigned.
Qualifications:
· BSc Degree in Civil Engineering from a Recognized University.
· Minimum 15+ years of experience in Civil Engineering / Construction Management Industry.
· Minimum 10 Years of Experience in Qatar.
· PMP and UPDA (Grade A, B, C is a Must, no Trainee)
